To celebrate our 5th Anniversary we have launched our very own sparkling Diamond Manicure!
The diamond manicure created in collaboration with Hamilton & Inches, features genuine rose cut diamonds and we think it is the only one of its kind available in Edinburgh.
This type of collaboration is a first for both us and Hamilton & Inches. We have worked with Hamilton & Inches on events over our five years and when we were looking to create something special for our fifth anniversary this seemed a perfect extension to our relationship.
‘Our diamond manicure has been refined by our own therapists to ensure that the stones stay in place and are not cumbersome in any way. While this will not be an everyday manicure for our clients, we are sure that many will love it for a special occasion.’
The manicure takes around one hour to do and is in shellac. The diamonds are held in place with the top coat and then sealed with the UV lamp as normal. Designed to be worn for a special occasion, results will depend greatly on lifestyle. The diamonds will be removed as part of a normal shellac removal.
Shonagh Massie, Marketing Executive of Hamilton & Inches on George Street, said: ‘It took a few attempts to get the diamond manicure right, however, together Chamomile Sanctuary and Hamilton & Inches have come up with a beautiful and unique treatment. It is perfect for a special occasion – I can already see it being popular with wedding parties. ‘The diamonds have been sourced as per Hamilton & Inches standards and they are guaranteed to sparkle.
‘I am delighted to be working again with Chamomile Sanctuary on their 5th birthday, and creating a product together is a lovely way to celebrate.’
The diamonds used are based on an older style of cut, the rose diamond has a flat base which helps secure to the nail. The crown is composed of triangular facets and the flat back allows reasonable sized stones to be used without it protruding.
The diamond manicure is priced at £460 and includes ten diamonds. The stones are around 1.7-1.9mm in diameter and most colours enhance the sparkle.
Chamomile celebrates 5th Anniversary
We celebrated our 5th Birthday in style in June with a Birthday Party at the Spa. Hamilton & Inches, Jewellers, celebrated with us by bringing lots of sparkly jewellery to try and buy and our clients were able to indulge themselves with the jewels as well as lots of bubbly!
We were also able to show off our very own diamond manicure with beautiful diamonds supplied by Hamilton & Inches.
Thank you to everyone who came along to the party. Without you and indeed all of our clients we would not be here!!

Justine is running a Half Marathon
Justine is running the Aviemore Half Marathon on Sunday 12th October!!
As many of you will know Justine lost her husband, Ken, in a road accident on 12th October 2008. Her father, Eddie Thompson, died 3 days later on 15th October from prostate cancer.
Since 2008, Justine has had to create a new life with her son, Monty. This has included the creation of Chamomile!
6 years on Justine felt she wanted to celebrate the lives of Ken and her father and she thought there was no better way of doing this than by setting herself a challenge and to do something worthwhile. Hence the Half Marathon!!
Justine is also raising funds for the Maggies Centres while running the Half Marathon. Her father spent a lot of time in the Dundee Maggies Centre while ill with cancer so she thought it fitting to raise money for them. If you would like to donate the link is:
